The Canadian Romani Alliance, a national, volunteer-based, non-profit organization founded in 2014, is a network of Romani organizations and individuals working collaboratively to build the capacity of Romani communities across Canada.
Our mission includes:
Addressing negative Gypsy stereotypes and discrimination in Canada, and responding to anti-Roma / anti-Gypsy hate;
Raising awareness about the Roma Genocide during the Holocaust, and meaningful inclusion in commemoration ceremonies throughout Canada;
Supporting the development of Roma community organizations and initiatives throughout Canada; and
Work collectively and in solidarity with other marginalized peoples in the struggle for social justice and human rights for all.

We are honoured to celebrate the life, work, and enduring legacy of our beloved community elder and lifelong Canadian Romani civil rights activist, Dr. Ronald Lee, through the establishment of the Ronald Lee Scholarship. The scholarship aims to encourage Canadian Romani youth to pursue post-secondary education, with $2,000 awarded annually to the strongest applicant.
